What’s in Your Energy/Water Efficiency Kit?
LED lightbulbs? Low-flow showerheads?
Our sustainability experts recently discussed what items they provide to homeowners and renters as part of their community sustainability efforts as well as which items had an impact and what items just weren’t effective. These kits help community members try out items they might not otherwise purchase so they can see first-hand how helpful energy efficiency can be to lowering their utility bills and more (some saved more than $40/light bill and Casey McCabe in Sarasota said users have saved up to $150 by installing the items in their kit). What items would you find useful, and which would you not. Check out the images in the comments to see some of our community’s efficiency kit programs.
