PROFILE: David Ingram, Sustainability Project Manager, Wilmington, NC
David Ingram, LEED AP+
Sustainability Programs Manager
Wilmington, NC
I am a southeast native…very South actually being born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands before growing up in Georgia, followed by a 10 year stint in Washington, DC. While in the nation’s capital I worked as the Sustainability Manager at the International Monetary Fund on a variety of sustainability, facility operations and green building projects, including managing the LEED certification project of the IMF’s two Headquarters facilities.
A desire to move back to the Southeast landed me in Wilmington NC in 2016 where I’m the current Sustainability Project Manager. In my role, I support the City’s efforts on utility tracking and management, GHG reporting and resilience, green building design & planning, and fleet efficiency measures. I love working at the local government level to promote change across our City…particularly engaging with the community on sustainability, climate change, and alternative transportation topics.
In my spare time (Ha!)…I love living near the beach and learning to surf (still badly at this point), enjoying the many microbreweries popping up in Wilmy, and getting out on any kind of long bike ride.
Wilmington is a wonderful place to live & work…please come visit and let me show you the sights!
